When a single, wounded wolf passes by and lies down to die, it assumes the shape of the animal. It eventually awakens and begins to traverse the desolate tundra until it encounters a child.

The child lives alone in a ghost town that the adults abandoned several years ago in search of the paradise claimed to exist well beyond the endless sea of white tundra. However, their attempts were futile, and the boy is now in serious condition.

Taking on the form of a child, it embarks on an endless journey in search of new things, places, and people.
